Tour 5 : Pico blanco / Fridays

From Santiago del Teide we take the path towards El Molledo. On the edge of the tiny village, a narrow goat trail above the valley leads us over to the wild Teno mountains, passing an old Finca of goats All the way through we can admire the magnificent Mount Teide and its little brother, the Pico Viejo.

When we arrive at the edge of the Teno, we have the wild and nearly untouched landscape of Teno right in front of us. This place is offering a marvelous panoramic view of the Barranco Seco, "the dry gorge”, down to the sea, and in the background lies the island of La Gomera.

We walk along above the Barranco Seco for a while, then we go down to the valley of Tamaimo. Once in the village, we make a stop-off at the “Sunflower”, the bar Girasol.
